Walk with Him Wednesday: The Practice of New Habits

Today starts a new year.My habit I began is to leave my hard cover student bible open to the verses I want to read, first thing before I do anything else.  Before my coffee even 🙂

Start the day with a thank you and praises, begin the day reading HIS word.  Previously I have had quiet times and bible study after sending the children to bed. My habit is to start the day out properly this year. Truly putting God first.

I have several documents in my computer I have made. I am going to post the written Word around my home. I need to see some of the verses constantly during my busy day.
Today, the first day of the new year, has already been great day!
I pray and hope to stay atop of things. 2014 will be a busy year. I don’t want to miss the joy of the day the Lord has given me!

God’s Peace

I woke up this morning and said this is the day The Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it!

I spend too much time worrying lately. I realize this worrying thing is not of God. So I am trying to give it all over to HIM daily.

Things are really down to the barest of where I must give it all to HIM or go crazy. The former sounds much better.

I am living in the Psalms. They bring much peace to me. I must live there for a while.

Psalm 109:1 Hold not thy peace, O God of my praise

Psalm 3

1 LORD, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!
2 Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.”[b]

3 But you, LORD, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
4 I call out to the LORD,
and he answers me from his holy mountain.

5 I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.
6 I will not fear though tens of thousands
assail me on every side.

7 Arise, LORD!
Deliver me, my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.

8 From the LORD comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people.

Psalm 131

1 My heart is not proud, LORD,

my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters
or things too wonderful for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted myself,
I am like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child I am content.

3 Israel, put your hope in the LORD
both now and forevermore.
